Frequently asked questions

Everything people usually want to know before drawing their first frame or converting their first clip.

Is my artwork or video uploaded anywhere?

No. Drawing, frame compilation and video conversion all happen inside your browser using your own device's processor. Nothing you import or export travels over the network, and there are no servers holding your files. The privacy policy spells out the detail.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no email, no login. Open the page and start drawing. Because nothing is stored on a server, there is also no cloud project list — your work lives in the open tab until you export it, so export before closing.

What are the video conversion limits?

The converter accepts MP4 and WebM files up to 100 MB and around 30 seconds of footage. Those limits exist because the work happens on your machine: a longer or heavier clip means every decoded frame has to be held in browser memory, and most devices run out. Trim the clip to the section you actually want and it will convert comfortably.

Which formats can I export?

Animated GIF, MP4 video (WebM on browsers that do not support MP4 recording) and single-frame PNG. GIF supports transparency; if a background is transparent on the canvas, it stays transparent in the exported GIF.

Which browsers work best?

Recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all work. Chrome and Edge on a desktop are fastest for long animations and video conversion. Safari handles video decoding differently and can be slower on large clips. Very old browsers without modern canvas support will not run the studio at all.

Can I use it on a phone or tablet?

Yes. The tools live in a slide-out drawer on small screens and drawing works with touch, including pressure-sensitive styluses on supported devices. Exporting on iOS may open the system share sheet instead of downloading directly — that is an iOS restriction on saving files from a web page, and saving to Files from the share sheet works fine.

Why is my GIF so large?

GIF stores every frame as its own image, so file size grows with dimensions, frame count and frame rate. The file size guide walks through what to change first.

Are there watermarks or paid features?

None. Every tool and every export format is free and unrestricted, exports carry no branding, and there are no ads anywhere on the site. It is a small independent project; if you would like to help cover the domain costs there is an optional Buy Me a Coffee page, but nothing depends on it.
