You keep full ownership of everything you draw, import and export. The site never receives your artwork, so it claims no licence over it and could not use it even if it wanted to. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any photo or video you bring in.

PaintAGIF is offered free of charge with no warranty of any kind. It depends on features of your browser and on your device's memory and processor, so results and speed vary between machines. Long animations, very large canvases and long video clips can exhaust browser memory.

Your work exists only in the open tab. Closing the tab, refreshing, or a browser crash will discard anything you have not exported. Export regularly. We are not liable for lost work or for any loss arising from use of the site.

Do not use the site to create or distribute unlawful material, and do not attempt to interfere with its operation. Because processing is local, there is no service to abuse on our side — but these terms still apply to what you publish elsewhere.

How the site handles data is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. PaintAGIF carries no advertising.

If you choose to support the site through Buy Me a Coffee, that is a voluntary gift made on a separate website under its own terms. It does not buy any feature, service or special treatment — the site works identically for everyone.

These terms may be updated as the site changes; the date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use PaintAGIF after a change means accepting the updated terms.
